The story behind Dog Friends

We created the place we wished existed.

A comfortable, joyful home away from home where dogs can be dogs—surrounded by care, nature, and friends.

It started with our own dogs

A stay away from you should still feel like home.

We built Dog Friends because we never felt comfortable leaving our own dogs in large, impersonal environments. As parents to Chow Chows, a Golden Retriever, and Doxles—our Dachshund–Beagle mixes—we wanted something warmer, quieter, and more personal: a real home where our dogs would feel safe, understood, and loved.

We believed there had to be a better way: a place with freedom, affection, comfortable spaces, and people who understand that every dog has a unique personality.

Then came a Golden Retriever

A lot of energy. A few chewed remotes. One big idea.

When a young Golden Retriever joined our family, the need became even clearer. Full of energy and curiosity, our new family member found entertainment in window frames, remote controls, wallpaper—and almost anything else within reach.

What was missing was not another toy. It was friendship, movement, and meaningful play. The right playmates helped turn restless energy into happy exhaustion and made life better for the dogs and the humans.

Professional experience with a personal purpose Our team brings together successful professionals from diverse fields, shaped by business and management education across Brazil, the United States, and Canada. Our academic experience includes PUC-Rio, UCLA, Stanford, and Harvard, along with MBA studies in Canada.
