How does the trainer consultation work?
Once per membership year, you can identify a behavior you would like to improve and receive a one-hour consultation with a specialized dog trainer. You will receive practical instructions and recommended next steps to practice at home. Results depend on the dog, the behavior and consistent follow-through; serious aggression, sudden behavior changes or possible medical causes may require an in-person professional or veterinary assessment.
What happens if my dog skips two meals?
If your dog skips two consecutive meals of their regular dry food, we can mix a small portion of approved wet food into the next meal at no charge. We only do this with your advance authorization and according to the allergies, sensitivities and feeding instructions in your dog’s care profile. We will contact you if poor appetite continues or if we notice another health concern.
How do the two free birthday nights work?
When a Club reservation includes your registered dog’s birthday, two Vacation Home nights are complimentary and we create a themed birthday keepsake photo. The birthday benefit is available once per registered dog each membership year, requires advance booking and remains subject to limited availability.
Does a flight longer than six hours include a free extra night?
Yes. When your scheduled flight is longer than six hours and your dog is already staying with Dog Friends, one additional night is complimentary under the Club benefit. Please provide your flight details in advance.
What else qualifies for Travel Delay Protection?
A delayed or cancelled flight, missed connection, severe weather, major road closure, heavy traffic that makes same-day pickup impractical, or a vehicle breakdown may qualify. Notify Dog Friends as soon as possible and before your scheduled pickup whenever you can.
Does heavy traffic automatically include a free night?
The delay should generally add at least three hours to the expected trip or make safe, same-day pickup impractical. Reasonable evidence of the disruption may be requested.
How does complimentary delivery work?
After a qualifying long flight, travel disruption or especially busy travel day, delivery can be arranged for the following day during an available off-peak window within the Dog Friends service area. The owner or an authorized adult should be available to receive the dog.
Is holiday space guaranteed?
Members receive priority access, but every stay still requires an advance reservation and remains subject to availability, vaccination and temperament requirements.
Can benefits be shared?
Benefits apply to registered dogs in the member’s household, have no cash value and cannot be transferred to another customer.
